American Goldfinch

American Goldfinches look very

similar to the canaries some have at home at pets, apart from their black plumage!

These can be especially seen in the winter though, and love a nice bird feeder. They also love water and like nothing better than to have a quick dip in a bird bath and then take a drink!

Their favourite seed is thistle, but they also love to eat sunflower seeds, weeds, and dandelion, and many other bird seeds they can lay their hands on.
