Racoons

Racoons, unlike skunks don't

hibernate in the cold weather,

though they may go for a bit of a longer sleep, they still come out to feed & will eat just about anything they can lay their hands on, including crabs, crayfish, eggs as well as berries, and will also raid the rubbish (trash / garbage!).

They live in varied habitats including forests wetland, near rivers and lakes.

They often only come out at night after the sun goes down a bit like our badgers, and moles in the uk.
